Pinterest Traffic Tip: Forget SEO, Learn PIO
SEO never worked for me, that I could really tell. Maybe I just wasn’t smart enough to figure it out. Or maybe I was in too competitive a market niche and there was no frikkin way I was going to break into the first page. Or maybe my brain is not wired to understand computer algorithm voodoo. SEO is hard enough to crack a tooth on. I’m giving up on all that. It’s time to learn a new skill:
Pinnable Image Optimization

Yep, making sure when people use the Pinterest bookmarklet tool, that they have an experience with my site that is:
1. Branded
2. Visually stunning
3. Uniquely “Me”
And the best part…
It’s all verifiable ahead of time. I just use the bookmarklet tool (Pin It Button) myself & ensure total awesomeness.

Pinterest Traffic Tip #18
Wondering…
Here is what we’ve found:
Good: Find something interesting, already on Pinterest, in one of your niche topics, and repin it.
Better: Surf the web in one of your niches, and when you find something very cool, pin it to your niche specific pinboard.
Best: Create original content, like a polyvore outfit design, or a how-to guide, or a infographic, etc. Then save it to your website, then pin it to your niche specific pinboard.
Obviously the single most important determinant of repin action is whether the topic is in vogue in a mega-category…fashion, beauty, health, cooking, etc. Create awesome infographics about ‘Pricing Strategies’ and you might hear crickets churping. But that’s okay – if you’re really into Pricing Strategy & want to develop an important collection on that topic.
Most importantly – experiment in your niche to see what is most popular, i.e., repinned the most. It will likely be different for different audiences.
And as always, please pin this graphic for me! Thanks!
